At last week’s South Uptown neighborhood meeting, Doram Co. shared an early look at their proposed plans for the southern half of the Seven Points block. While a technical issue prevented them from displaying their project graphics during the meeting, Doram has since provided those materials, which you can now view here.
The current concept calls for a five-story, mixed-use building featuring approximately 225 apartments and 7,000 square feet of street-level retail space along Hennepin Avenue. The “U”-shaped structure would front Hennepin Avenue, West 31st Street, and Girard Avenue, surrounding a central open-air courtyard. Residential parking for the project would be accommodated within the existing Seven Points parking garage, which currently includes more than 700 stalls and is largely underutilized.
As a reminder, these plans are still in the preliminary stages and may evolve before a formal Land Use Application is submitted to the City of Minneapolis. We’ll continue to share updates as this proposal moves forward.
