The City of Minneapolis is kicking off community engagement for the proposed 34th Street Neighborhood Greenway, a nearly four-mile project stretching from Hennepin Avenue to Hiawatha Avenue. Within the South Uptown neighborhood, the project would extend from Hennepin Avenue to Lyndale Avenue.
The Greenway aims to make it safer and easier for people walking, biking, rolling, and driving by improving intersection crossings, calming traffic, discouraging unsafe driving, upgrading pedestrian ramps, and creating a more comfortable bicycle route connecting parks and schools.
