The Lander Group recently submitted a land use application to the City for a proposed 3-5 story, 74-unit apartment building over an underground parking deck at 3501 - 3525 Hennepin Avenue. The structure would replace 4 homes and businesses while preserving the 1-story, corner commercial structure. The project is expected to be considered during the June 1 Minneapolis Planning Commission meeting.
The project requires rezoning, a conditional use permit for height, and setback variances from the City to proceed, and public comments will be considered. The South Uptown Land Use & Transportation Committee will discuss the organization’s position on the project based on neighbor feedback, and plans to send a letter as formal input.
